It looks like many people are making mistakes regarding the business opportunities they are getting involved with and what it takes to successfully market them.
There are many business opportunities out there and people are pouring into them like crazy. Some of these opportunities are with companies that have been around for years and are solid, proven winners. If you are one of those people that picked a respectable business opportunity I am ecstatic for you.
But to my dismay, there are many companies out there that are pretty wobbly deals. They assure you instant riches – all you have to do is sign up for them, pay your monthly fees, and then you can ease back and rake in the dough. Not right, this is not how it works.
The fact is, there is a huge failure rate among people trying to start a thriving home based internet or network marketing doing business in. Close to 95% of the people that join these online business, whether they are time-honored companies or one of the shifty instant get rich schemes, will fail at making enough money to stay in business.

Assuming you picked a reliable business opportunity there is one vital fact to consider if you want to be among the profitable.
You have to understand the marketing it takes to make your business successful. If you don’t know how to market you will most likely be unsuccessful.
And, you need to understand the most important piece about marketing and that is the creation of leads.
You must have leads so that you can convert those leads into sales and/or recruit them into your business. The sad part is that most network and Internet marketers fail in the most important part of their marketing – lead generation. And the plain reason is usually because they do not know how to market properly. But you can certainly change that and get the know-how you need.
To help you achieve a better knowledge of the many pieces involved in lead capture, I am going to arrange everything out for you in a relationship drawing or marketing map. The most crucial piece of the map is at the middle – the landing page. The lead capture page is fundamental to your marketing and once you understand how to do all the various types of marketing they all point back to one thing – and that is your lead capture page.
No matter what kind of marketing you are doing, whether it’s SEO, MySpace, Digg, Blogs, etc., all of that traffic needs to be targeted to go to your lead capture pages.
To say again, all of your marketing needs to convey all of your traffic to your lead capture page.
Primarily, the intention is for you to begin marketing using any or a combination of traffic generation – lead generation techniques. Then your marketing labors will aim people to your lead capture page and then you can turn that lead into a buying customer and/or a prospect to enter your business.
If all you’re doing is advertising your business, and not capturing leads, you are doing your self a disservice. You must secure the leads and build relationships with the people whose names you capture.
Now when you learn how to market correctly, you will become skilled at how to perfect these various marketing strategies. You do NOT need to perfect them all so don’t get intimidated by how many types of traffic marketing there are. Some very profitable network marketers only use 1 or 2 of these tactics, but they focus on them, get skillful at them, and they take action with them.
You can make use of things like MySpace and Facebook to pull traffic to your landing page. You can make use of blogging or article writing to establish yourself as an authority and get traffic to your landing page that route. You can also run advertisements on other people’s sites or use Google Adwords or Yahoo Search Marketing to get traffic to your leads capture page. Pick one to get going.
Your lead capture page becomes the opening point into your marketing retention and follow up approach, because the traffic that you capture there goes into your Autoresponder.
All the opt-ins go into YOUR autoresponder. This is because you need to create a list of your own clients and prospects. This is a vital point, because in the preponderance of internet business out there, all of your hard work go to building a customer list for the company, NOT you!
You need to be doing this no matter what business you are in, whether it’s Acai Berry, Mary Kay, Maddy Moo, etc. You need to get the traffic to your squeeze so that you can attain the lead.
The autoresponder becomes your email administrator, your marketing follow-up system and your customer retention system.
By using an autoresponder you can stay in touch with your potential recruits and over time they will be encouraged to either purchase products from you, link up with your business (if you are network marketing) or develop into resellers (if you are in affiliate marketing).
Use the email messages you convey via your autoresponder list to help out your contacts. After all, they wouldn’t have registered for your list if they didn’t think you had something to provide them. So don’t disappoint them. Give them gratis things, give them instruction, teach them, and indirectly sell them on your products or business. Give out them marketing training and show them how they can be flourishing with the products you are selling or if they join your business. Under promise and Over deliver!
You can actually earn an income from this. We’ve set ourselves up with services and products so that we can bring in cash even if people don’t go in with our business. This is because we have built a catalog of names that we are building relationships with.
So bear in mind, no traffic – no leads, and with no leads you can’t keep your business running.
If you are already operating a business, you need to organize a training program so that you can put forward even more to your file of people. If you have yet to link up with a business you need to research a company that gives you with the right kind of marketing training. A superior training series should show people how to set up their squeeze pages and autoresponder and instruct them on which types of traffic marketing will work best for them.
Keep in mind, you don’t have to use all the different types of marketing to get traffic. You can use the various tactics individually. The important thing is to use at least one of them, get proficient at it and stick with it.
So don’t waste any more time. Start doing things the right way and get the marketing training you need.
